ザックが何をしたいのかが本当にわからなかった。
序盤から中にＤＦの枚数がそろった状態でのクロスの連続。
大迫くらいしか決められなそうにない形だったが、ブンデス１部で１５点の岡崎より大迫に期待していたということだろうか。その大迫もギリシャＤＦに余裕をもってとめられていた。
ロングボールをつけて岡崎や本田など足が遅い選手を走らせていたのも疑問だった。
適材適所でやってほしい。

○遠藤と香川
2枚のジョーカーは機能しなかったわけではないと思います。特に香川真司のドリブルは相応に有効でした。ただ、引いて守るギリシャは「外は捨てる。クロスボールは上げさせて、中で跳ね返す」と割り切ってきました。よくも悪くもそれに乗る形で日本は攻め立てたわけですが、結果は実らず。外からの攻めで内田篤人、大久保嘉人の決定機もありましたが、得点には至りませんでした。ジョーカー2枚よりも、「3枚目のカード」を用意できなかったのが個人的には悔やまれます。
○ギリシャの選択
「引き分けでもいい」というジャッジをギリシャが下したのには理由があります。これで彼らの勝ち点は日本と並んで『1』。最終戦でギリシャがコートジボワールに勝てば、その勝ち点は『4』に伸びて、『3』のコートジボワールを上回ります。よって、2位抜けができる。日本相手に10人で無理に勝ち点『3』を狙うよりもこちらのほうが可能性が高い。それが彼らの判断だったわけです。
○つまり、日本は
要するに「日本はコロンビアに勝てない」というのが彼らの判断だったという言い方もできます。初戦でコロンビアに0-3と敗れて、得失点差のダメージを残すギリシャは、日本が仮にコロンビアに勝った場合、勝ち点『4』で並んで敗退濃厚ですからね。
○コロンビア勝ち抜けというポイント
もう1点、この引き分けという結末には重要なポイントがあると思っています。日本とギリシャの最大勝ち点が『4』となったことで、現在の勝ち点が『6』であるコロンビアが最終戦を待たずに決勝トーナメント進出を決めました。彼らは得失点差でのアドバンテージもあるので、常識的に考えると第3戦は決勝トーナメントに備えて主力を温存してくる可能性が高いです。これは最終戦に向けたポジティブな材料だと思います。
○日本のメンタル
完全に「終わった」ようなモードのわが国ですが、ここで折れてしまうのは2流でしょう。まだ1試合残っていて、可能性があると言えるだけのシチュエーションです。選手たちにはもう一度、日本代表としての気持ちを奮い立たせてほしいですし、それができるヤツらだと、私はまだ信じています。勝って終わりましょう。後は運を天に任せればいい。
