天皇杯で過密日程ながらベストメンバーで戦った山形と、サブ組を多く使って様子見をした千葉。
再度山形がチームとして乗ったのは、明らかにあの天皇杯準決勝で千葉に競り勝った事が要因です。
あそこで日程に余裕のあった千葉がベストメンバーで山形に勝ち、
リーグ最終戦で負けていた山形に「連敗」という結果を残していたら、
PO準決勝ジュビロ戦の奇跡も起きていなかった可能性もありました。
それ以外にも、GKに経験豊富な岡本ではなく若い高木を固定したというのも
山形に付け入る隙を与えてしまった原因かと思います。
ハッキリ言って、千葉がこの結果になったのは当然の流れかと思います。
様々な箇所で甘さがありました。

昇格POでＪ１へ上がったチームの現状を見ると、この試合に勝って昇格することがプラスなのか、それともしっかり自動昇格で上がれるまでチームを築き上げることが重要なのか……。正直、今回の３位はボーナス。POでさえ出られれば御の字だと思ってました。この悔しさを糧にして、本来の昇格を果たすことこそが課題です。
