一方、最終節の相手である16位・大宮は今節、広島に幸運なゴールをもらいつつ、1-1のドロー。いつも残留争いを制している印象の強い大宮ですが、最終節を待たずに残留を決めているのが黄金パターン。今回は特別に危ない状況です。クラブとしてある種の「慣れ」があるにしても、さすがにプレッシャーの質が変わってきそうです。
13位・甲府は今節の勝利で「連敗さえしなければ……」と言えるような、有利な状況となりましたが（実は得失点差で圧倒的に有利！）、14位・仙台と15位・清水は「連敗ならJ2行き濃厚」という厳しい状況ではあります。残留ラインの勝ち点は、大宮が1勝1分1敗なら『37』（36で得失勝負）、2勝なら『39』（38で得失勝負）となります。C大阪が3連勝した場合（つまり最終節で大宮を食った場合）は勝ち点『39』となり、その場合の大宮の最大勝ち点『38』を逆転できます。やはり勝ち点『37』は一つの目安になりそうですし、安全圏と言えるのは『40』ということになりそうです。
