河治さんのTweetでアルジェリア代表監督だったことを知り、即ドイツ×アルジェリア戦の興奮が蘇ったのは一カ月前のこと。
実績は文句無し。ネックは高齢による健康面かな？

全く期待してない。いや出来ないと言った方が正しい。
何故かと言うと、ザッケローニ監督の時も、アギーレ監督の時もメディアは期待を煽る様な記事を書き連ねていたが、時が過ぎるにつれ期待で覆われたメッキは剥がれ、素人の自分でも「どうやらあの時の記事は、記者がろくな取材もせずに『こうなったら良い』『こうなって欲しい』とある意味願望を書き記しただけのものだったんだ」と気付かされたからだ。
ハリルホジッチ監督の経歴を調べると、良いチームを率いて結果を残した仕事もあれば、残念だが結果を残せずに途中で解任される仕事もある。
前者がアルジェリア代表であれば、後者は最近まで率いていたトラブゾンスポルだ。
そもそもこの記事でもアルジェリア代表時代のハリルホジッチ監督に焦点を当て可能性を強調しているが、アルジェリアと日本ではチームスタイルも全く異なるし、選手の特徴も違う。
なぜアルジェリアの成功と日本の将来を重ね合わせる事が出来るのだろうか？
またザッケローニ監督やアギーレ監督時代に頻りに報道されていた、外国人監督は日本サッカーを理解し日本人選手の特徴を把握するのが難しく、日本サッカーに適応するのに相当な時間が掛かる、という問題はどこに行ってしまったのだろうか？
あれだけ散々問題提起しておきながら、最も重要な新監督選考のタイミングで全くそこに触れようともしないメディアの姿勢にはただただ驚くばかりである。
それとも日本での選手経験や指導経験のないハリルホジッチ監督が、ザッケローニ監督やアギーレ監督の二の舞にならない確証でもあるのだろうか？
僕はサッカーが好きだし、当然日本代表も応援している。
だけどメディアのいい加減な記事には心底うんざりしている。
先にも書いたが、
チームスタイルや選手の特徴が違う日本で何故アルジェリア代表と同様の活躍が期待出来るのか？、
日本での選手・指導経験のないハリルホジッチ監督が何故日本サッカーに適応出来ると考えているのか？、
最低でもこの２点の疑問にはしっかりと取材をして答えて欲しい。
それがメディアの仕事だと思う。
